Protandim is the only compound on the planet, drug or supplement, with a peer reviewed and published human clinical trial that shows it actually reduces oxidative stress (as measured by TBARs in the bloodstream—the gold standard for measuring oxidative stress in clinical research). I do not have the abstract on the fibrosis study, which is the primary pulmonary hypertension study from Virginia Commonwealth which is complete. The Universities are very touchy about keeping the info close to the vest until it is published. I’ve attached a slide showing where studies are underway and what is being studied. I’ve even attached two studies that show why direct, consumable or conventional antioxidants do not work. Red wine, grape seed exctract, pycnogenol, Vitamins C and E, chocolate, oranges, coffee, etc—you cannot take enough of these things to even keep oxidative stress in check for one day, let alone reduce it. Please see more on the website about the antioxidant myth. Let’s summarize here. Conventional antioxidants, whether in fruits and vegetables or in a pill, DON’T WORK. You need nutrients from good food for many reasons, but maintaining oxidant-antioxidant balance is NOT one of them. Our bodies don’t rely on conventional antioxidants to do this, and they don’t rely on what you eat, they rely on ANTIOXIDANT ENZYMES encoded and produced by your own genetic machinery.
Protandim is not a consumable antioxidant.
